A highlight of his academic career is his capstone project on income inequality in the U.S., where he applied rigorous mathematical modeling and machine learning algorithms to highlight demographic and social disparities in an academic setting.

In his nine months at BW, Tom has played an important role in various impactful projects, including the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) Supply Chain Jobs Study and modeling the City of Irvine's economy through possible growth scenarios. His responsibilities involve supporting economic modeling efforts and transforming complex data into actionable insights. Tom also excels in creating interactive graphics and visuals that enhance the clarity and accessibility of data and has made substantial contributions to the Energy Staffing Patterns project for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he was heavily involved in processing data to create staffing patterns, allowing for the analysis of clean energy careers across the US.

With expertise in software tools such as Tableau, Python, R, STATA, and IMPLAN modeling software, Tom combines technical skills with a creative approach to problem-solving. He is known for being proactive and flexible, often bringing a valuable international perspective that enriches team discussions.
