As electric transportation has become increasingly important in everyday life and critical for transportation policy in the United States, BW Research Partnership prepared a report for Advanced Energy United (formerly Advanced Energy Economy) that examined current and potential electric transportation (ET) economy and supply chain opportunities.

The study centered on analyzing current businesses and workers involved in the ET supply chain process, with a focus on businesses in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail sale, research and development, installation, and maintenance of ET equipment. The assessment highlights key opportunities such as the contribution of $29 billion in Gross Domestric Product (GDP) by the industry in 2019, and untapped policy opportunities surrounding transportation electrification.
